What is VPN?
VPNS are used for encrypting the data that is being sent or recieved they are mainly used for changing the ip address eg if theres a movie that is only availavle in UK you would use that vpn that is located in UK to watch it.

Why?
because most of sites are secured that begins https:// (not every site) which is already very hard for hackers to steal your data. Also most of vpns steal your data to advertisers anyway cause they a;so know everything you search while using their vpn. Also those ip addresses are public meaning everyone knows them so they block by configuring their server like netflix can create a list of ips that is blocked so the users can`t use vpn to get that country movies , films etc.
